Tolt Farm in Carnation-Nikki and Sean Engagement Session
We were all worried about rain on this day but it ended up to be the perfect day complete with big, fluffy clouds just for fun. Nikki and Sean are adorable together. I especially love the photos of them with the mossy tree…so cool! The Tolt River Farm is really beautiful, the bridge and barn are fabulous but it was the magnificent trees covered in moss were my favorite. You can rent a yurt and camp here too!
Q. What’s your story? How did you meet? How did the proposal go?
A. Sean and I met in middle school. His neighbor was one of my best friends and he was over all the time. We became friends after that throughout high school while we dated other people. I moved away after high school and when I came back we ran into each other and have been inseparable ever since.
The proposal was an interesting one….Right before Christmas Sean had been hinting about the possibility of “something sparkly” under the tree (he’s terrible at keeping things a surprise! ) He couldn’t keep the secret until Christmas, so he proposed on December 13th. After getting down on one knee, I began crying tears of joy so hard that he thought I was upset with his ring choice!
After he stood up and we hugged, we realized his 100 lb black lab had just had an “accident” literally right next to us…. in the living room. We were completely oblivious from all the excitement, and apparently our excitement was too much for his dog to handle.
Needless to say, I spent the next 5 minutes trying to admire my ring, while cleaning up his dog’s mess, crying tears of joy, laughing hysterically, all while Sean was throwing up. It was “magical”.
