The Redwood Forest checked off the bucket list

We spent only a day there but I’ll remember it for a lifetime.  Redwoods are one of the oldest living things on our planet.  The Chandelier drive-thru tree is around 2,000 years old. I tried to explain to my daughter that it sprouted in the year 12. Woah, that puts it into perspective. Can that be true? Completely amazing the lifetime it has lived.  They’re awe inspiring columns that seem to go on forever.  Makes our 60’ evergreen trees look like saplings.  Forests are my favorite place to be.  Oceans are ok but forests are exciting, wonderous adventures.  I was so happy to be there, running along the twisting paths among the giants with my family.  Mother nature is truly the world’s best architect.
