Brenna and James Engagement
We met in college at Evergreen. We lived in the same dorm. I dated a few other guys and James had a long distance girlfriend. The first time we had a long, liquor-induced conversation I knew I was going to do my best to marry him. He knew nothing of my plan, and it took several months to get him for myself. We have a great, relaxed relationship, always have. We have hardly spent a week of nights apart in the five years we’ve been together. There is just something comfortable about being with each other that can’t be forced or faked. The first three years of our relationship James still had no idea I planned on marrying him, as I always had. On our three year anniversary I made him aware of my intentions, and he reciprocated. We agreed to get married two years hence, and now here we are! He told me he thought I was too liberal to want to get married, which many of my friends agree is a vibe I give, but since I knew from our first conversation that he was the one for me, why not have the legal security and benefits of marriage? We are happy to be able to share our day with our friends and family so they can witness our joy and commitment to each other.

We almost cancelled this shoot due to snow. It was completely unexpected but luckily ended up being just a dusting and really enhanced the bear paw photo at Bear Creek Golf Club! We had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team of professionals on this shoot. We are thankful for all your hard work and can’t wait to work with everyone again! Thank you so much Woodhouse Wine Estates, Columbia Winery, and Bear Creek Country Club.
Also, hair stylist Helen Tribble of Winslow Salon and makeup artist Jessica Bohannon. The girls looked incredible. Helen and Jessica are very talented hair and make-up artists that I would highly recommend!
These venues are gorgeous! The views at Bear Creek Golf Club are stunning! And did you know that Columbia Winery not only has amazing food but also a hidden barrel room? Januik is so sleek and unique for sure! Woodhouse is a beautiful, quaint, lovely venue where I would be so excited to have an event! And all of these places are run by the nicest, friendliest and most professional event coordinators which to me is icing on the cake!

Welcome to Donutville!
They just bought a wonderful new house and they couldn’t be prouder.
So…we were buzzing with joy when we left their house. We were so busy talking about how cute their little blue eyed baby Kalin is that we took a wrong turn. We admired the scenery and wowed over the green rolling hills then saw the sign, “Welcome to Enumclaw”. SCREECH! went the tires. Yes, it was a fun side trip but my gosh, where the heck were we? I got us back on track but not without telling Brandon he owed me a donut. After diverting him away from pulling into the casino with all my might (never my favorite place to go) we stumbled upon this cute little shop and my wish came true!
Best Husband Ever…not best navigator but that’s ok.

With more and more popping up there is one that will fit your wedding day perfectly!

Wedding Tip #3 Set the date!
Figure out what day you want to get married, then make sure that works for all the family members and important people in your life who you have at your wedding.
This may seem obvious but in the excitement of it all it can be overlooked and is the most important step to start with.
Today, families are busy, so it is nice to make sure no one is committed to travel or another event that they are planning to attend.
Once you have a date, or have at least narrowed it down to a couple of options that may work for you, your top guest list, you can get going on your most important task.
Consider the fact that some people you know may be students or teachers who don’t have time to travel during the school year, especially September. Also, think about how prices of venues and
other wedding vendors are sometimes lower in the off-season or on weekdays.

Guest List! Figure this out earl, the sooner the better. Create a first draft by just gather all the names and perhaps emails in one location. Excel is a great place to do this to help keep you organized. This is a good place to start for organizing the list:
1. Column for guest names
2. Column next to gust name for coming yes or no
3. How many guests are invited
4. How many guest replied
5. Gifts received
6. Thank-you notes sent
7. Who is invited to the rehearsal dinner, brunch, etc.
This spreadsheet will not only help keep you organized but also will keep your life sane. Well, semi-sane

Four new coats to choose from
Had a really fun engagement session in Woodinville Wine Country with Holly and Mark, had a commercial shoot at The Lash & Wax Boutique, met with a super nice new client and tried on a million coats. What a great day!
